Sextetto F major

The two sextets published here for the first time come as a copy from the collection of Franz Zwierzinas in the library of Oettingen-Wallerstein. Zwierzina must have greatly appreciated the two compositions, at purchase they are called as "2 Sextours of Kapellmeister Winter of exquisite composition". These were created about 1795.

On March 28, 1803, the Böck brothers played a double concert in Winter in Leipzig. As the arrangement of the two sextets is comparable to a solo concert, it would be quite possible that the double concerto was one of the sextets.
