L’Almanach aux Images was composed in 1911, originally consisting of eight piano miniatureseach preceded by a poem. It is perhaps the best-known work of French pianist, composer and conductor, Gabriel Grovlez. The influence of Debussy and Fauré is clear to hear in these charming pieces for concert band, arranged by Jan Molenaar.
