Schule für die Sopran-Blockflöte (barocke Griffweise)
This method for children aged 6+ has been devised in such a way that, in addition to playing the recorder, the children also learn the major basics of music theory, how to read and write music, as well as how to listen and improvise. Breathing and tonguing techniques are taught consistently, wrapped in games to liven up the lessons. From the very beginning, the method uses Baroque fingering which, in contrast to German fingering, guarantees a much better intonation. Range of notes from c1 - d2, no chromatic semitones. Consistent work on breathing and tone production. Development of rhythmic confidence in dealing with the note values (crotchet, minim, dotted minim, semibreve, quaver).
