Studies in Lyricism

A difficult aspect of playing a string instrument is incorporating the lyrical qualities of the human voice. Many serious string students spend much of their time playing etudes that emphasize beauty of tone and elegance of phrasing to develop their total musicianship. These studies have been carefully chosen from the works of Concone, Marchesi and Panofka and are arranged in a progressive order for advancing students.

All of the strings books in this series are compatible with one another and can be practiced together. Studies in Lyricism is a welcome addition to the repertoire of standard lyrical exercises that are geared toward the college/university/conservatory student. A must have set of studies for the student that is seriously preparing for the next level of playing.
