Description
The "Maple Leaf Rag" is one of Scott Joplin's first Ragtime compositions.
The name probably derives from the Maple Leaf Club in Sedalia, Missouri, where Joplin worked as a pianist. It was here that the publisher John Stark discovered and published it in 1899 from this point on, Joplin's compositions.
