… was commissioned by the voestalpine steel division and means "precursory" in the sense of the company’s slogan.
Originally, the piece was composed for a performance with several wind bands at a difficulty level of 2.5 and a performance duration of about 3 min. The premiere of Praevius was in 2013 at the employee’s festival of the voestalpine in Linz with 5 voestalpine wind bands.
