This most popular Scott Joplin Rag, "The Entertainer" reached high acclaim in 1973 as the most recognizable theme from Paul Newman & Robert Redford's movie classic, "The Sting". This Academy Award-Winning film was solely responsible for the resurgence of ragtime piano in general, but more specifically brought renewed interest in the works of Scott Joplin. "The Entertainer" was actually part of every TOP 40 music radio broadcast in the mid 70's and included with every "Billboard" countdown. We have brought it back to life with this great arrangement for Bb, Eb & C instruments. An endless interaction between the pianist and horns as the melody is flipped on eachrepeated passage.
