Csardas für Klarinetten-Trio
Ensemble-Time Band 138a
The Magyares (Hungarians) are a people with deep sensations, we can say, people who speak with their heart. The wideness of the Puszta often produces longing, mostly sad melodies. The Hungarians also have a way, of celebrating festivals, which often last for several days. The Hungarian national dance the “Csardas” joins both. In the slow parts the great Hungarian heart with much feeling, in the quick parts the intensively frolic-some increase of the dance, at which on the pair-dance the men often show solo-parts with acrobatic jumps. Csardas above all up to today is a folk music, played by Hungarian gipsies.
