This Valencian march, composed as a Christian march for L’Olleria’s Moors and Christians Festival, takes its name from the discovery of a Muslim period seal on which is written: “He that believeth shall be saved”. Thus, the Latin name makes reference to this quote common to both the Islamic and Christian religions, in witness of the Moors and Christians Festival’s key value: tolerance.
