My First Playlist

This volume takes its inspiration from the 1892 publication 'Very Easy Melodious Exercises in the First Position, for Violin with Pianoforte Accompaniment, by Edward Elgar, Op. 22.'

The later adaptation for viola and piano, published under the title 'Six Very Easy Pieces' (London, Laudy & Co., 1954), was particularly useful and helpful to the present writer in his endeavour to master the viola.

'My First Playlist, Six Very Easy Pieces for Viola and Piano' is a collection of new compositions for beginners learning to play the viola. I very much hope that these new pieces prove as useful and helpful as the original pieces by Elgar. – Austin Boothroyd
