The gaelic title means „an informal gathering for dancing, singing and telling stories“. The various movements of this work are well-loved dances in Scotland. The work has a somewhat archaic character through the use of church modes, and during the transitions from one movement to the next Olive captured the occasional slight chaos that might occur, when people lose their partners or have to get ready for a new dance formation.
