Three Pieces
This already legendary oboist here presents three demanding yet humorously enigmatic pieces for the deeper reed instrument of the same family. The first is not the only piece to require careful calculation, with the second piece recalling Mozart's famous coloratura aria from "The abduction from the Seraglio". In the third piece, composed for this year's ARD music competition, the bassoonist literally has to pass an exam in almost unrealisable playing feats - only suitable for the brave-hearted!
