Undercurrents Redux began its life as an unaccompanied solo flute work entitled Undercurrents, composed in the spring of 2007 for Amy Porter, a longtime friend and inspiring musician. The piece evolved into Undercurrents Redux when it was commissioned by the Palisades Virtuosi in 2010.
