Description
After a reign of 33 years, Beatrix, Queen of the Netherlands, vacated the throne for her eldest son Willem-Alexander on 30 April 2013. Matthias van Nispen tot Pannerden wrote a majestic work for the Royal Dutch Air Force Orchestra for this special occasion, which was performed at the exact moment when the new king left the Nieuwe Kerk after his inauguration in Amsterdam.
