Drei mittelalterliche Melodien (Saltarello – Lamento di tristano – La rotta), bearbeitet für Blockflöte (Sopran-, Bass-/Alt-, Sopranino-), Violine (Tenor-/Bass-/Altblockflöte) und Violoncello (Viola da Gamba, Subbass-/Bassblockflöte), Schlagwerk ad lib., von Annette John.
Die drei Melodien sind aus einer Handschrift überliefert (British Library), die etwa um 1400 in der Toskana entstanden ist und eines der frühesten Zeugnisse der Instrumentalmusik des Mittelalters darstellt. Auch wenn die Melodien einstimmig überliefert sind, wurden sie sicherlich auch von mehreren Spielern auf Blas- und Streich- sowie Perkussionsinstrumenten musiziert.
