The well-known Spanish composer Antonio Francisco José Soler y Ramos (1729-1783) was ordained in 1752, which is why he is often known as “Padre Antonio Soler” or “Padre Soler”. Browse our sheet music and scores, and explore the wide world of Antonio Soler with Stretta Music today!
At the age of six he began studying music and organ, just like the composer and guitarist Fernando Sor. He studied with José de Nebra and Domenico Scarlatti, and like the latter, the Sonatas by Antonio Soler are the highlights of his work.
Alongside his popular Sonatas, the Villancicos de Antonio Soler, the Organ Works by Antonio Soler, and the Harpsichord Works by Antonio Soler are particularly well known.
