Lehrbuch für den französischen Volkstanz Bourrée
Grundschritte und 33 Tanzbeschreibungen
The author of our popular Breton dance book presents basics techniques and characteristics of 30 different French Bourrée dances.
The Bourrée in it's very different forms has been one of the most popular dances in the German-Bal folk scene for many years.
The French Bourrée is evident from folk traditions of the Auvergne, Berry, Limousin, Morvan, Bourbonnais. The dance forms that can be seen today in these regions, and the way they are danced, have not not much to do with the original traditions, though.
The way the Bourrée is danced after the revival is characterized by the teaching of diverse dance masters. The dance descriptions are based on contemporary practice and are rather an interpretation of the traditional repertoire as a rigorous documentation of Bourrée stile of past centuries.
The dance book 'Bourree Bourree Bourree "comes with a CD with recordings of the dances in good danceable form and with the original sound of a french Bal Folk. This CD was rewarded a 'BRAVO' from the French music magazine 'trad. magazine'.
The book is written in German language
