Über einen langen Zeitraum hinweg hat sich Christoph Brückner immer wieder mit dem Choral "Jesu, meine Freude" beschäftigt. Daraus entstanden viele Variationen und Improvisationen.

Die bereits vorhandenen Werke und Variationen von Bach, Zachow, Walther und anderen Komponisten dienten gelegentlich als Impulsgeber. Nun hat Christoph Brückner einige seiner Bearbeitungen dieses Chorals zusammengefasst und stellt sie in diesem neuen Heft der breiten Öffentlichkeit zur Verfügung. Das gesamte Heft gliedert sich in drei Teile (Triptychon).
