Concert and Contest Collection CBHA
This three-part concert work is a tribute to the French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi. The first movement describes Bartholdi's most famous statue, the Statue of Liberty in New York, which also gave its name to this wind orchestra work. This is followed by a musical picture of the trumpet angels, which can be admired in Natura in Boston, and finally the Lion of Belfort in France, for whose inauguration Liberty was premiered in November 2010.
