The title makes reference to the Corpus Christi in Sevilla, which is the last topic in the first book of the Iberia Suite by Albeniz. Some measures from this work are quoted textually close to the end and other fragments are paraphrased in a different context. For this reason, the score must be performed as an independent work or immediately after Albeniz's piece, but never before! If the work is played together with the work of the Iberia Suite, the meter of the Allegro must be the same that the one in Albeniz's work. It happens the same with the quoted measures in the Coda. The score only can be played with a piano provided with a 3rd pedal, because the first section isbased on the resonances that the pedal produces.
