La Torre de Hércules - „Der Turm des Herkules“ - ist ein von den Römern gebauter Leuchtturm auf der Halbinsel von La Coruña in Spanien. Viele Legenden ranken sich um diesen historischen Ort, so auch jene, die Ferrer Ferran zum Inhalt seineseindrucksvollen Blasorchesterwerkes machte: Herkules erschlug an dieser Stelle den Tyrannen Geryon und errichtete ihm ein Grabmal, mit einem Licht, das Tag und Nacht leuchten sollte...Vielversprechend!
