Das hier editierte Duo erschienen erstmals 1799 beim Augsburger Verlag Gombart in der Ausgabe mit dem Titel: „Trois/Duos/ Concertants/ Pour/Violon & Violoncelle/Composé /Par/ Mr. G. Fiala/Oeuvr. IV Liv. II” Die Violine ist hier falsch mit “Violon” genannt. In diesem Druck wurde die Cellostimme, wenn diese im Violinschlüssel notiert wurde, dieser eine Oktave höher notiert. In der vorliegenden Neuausgabe wurde in moderner Notation ein untransponierte Violinschlüssel benutzt.
